Roberta Pecoraro –
Best moment from Fashion Month?
I had so much fun jumping on the back of a Vespa to get from one show to the next!
Italian being your background, what is your favourite part about coming back to visit?
I absolutely love the food and wine culture in Italy!
What are your daily essentials for fashion week?
Always wear comfortable shoes because you end up running around the city all day.
What were some of the greatest moments from the Zimmermann Resort 18′ show in New York?
I loved how unexpected it was. I suppose I was at the right place at the right time and became lucky enough to cast for their show. I had the best time walking out on that runway, the Zimmermann collection was absolutely beautiful!
Starting in New York and then heading to Milan, what do you love about the differences between the two cities?
I love how different the buildings and streets are between the two cities. Milan is full of little pebbled alley ways and antique architecture whilst NY has everything on a larger scale with sky scraping buildings.
Your favourite café nook you found while you were away?
In Milan, my friends and I found an amazing Italian restaurant along the Navigli called Napoli 1802. We kept going back for their pizza with ricotta stuffed crust!!!
What is the first thing you will do once you return home?
I usually go out for breakfast. Breakfast in Italy is quite different from the Aussie breakky so I usually crave a good smashed avo or an acai bowl.

Brooke Durrant –
Where have you been travelling to over the last Fashion Month circuit?
New York, Milan & Paris!
What was one of your favorite shows?
Definitely Comme des Garcons! It was such a dream to walk this seasons show!
The most hectic backstage moment?
The most hectic moment happened backstage in Milan at Francesco Scognamiglio! Ellen von Unwerth introduced herself to me and took a boomerang which she later posted to her insta! She is someone I really admire and look up to in the industry and having the opportunity to chat with her was definitely something I’ll never forget!
With a whirl of street style photographers everyday what’s your favourite outfit you put together running two and from shows?
You’ll almost always catch me in an oversized hoody or T-shirt and docs! I’m big on comfort, especially when running around for castings, fittings and shows!
Your favourite look of the season?
I loved that there was a clear texture and layer play this season! Y Project had so many killer pieces as did Stella McCartney, Saint Laurent and Rick Owens! But I think it would be hard to deny Comme des Garcons and that epic show! It took texture and layering to a whole new level! Wearing art pieces! It was definitely my favourite look I wore and my favourite show!
When you are not at castings or shows what is your ideal situation while on the circuit?
Hanging out with my friends and trying to immerse myself in whichever city I’m in! I like to steer clear of the typical tourist way of experiencing a city and op for a more authentic experience (which can be difficult with English as my only language, but the challenge is fun and comedic at times!)
A Chic Exclusive Interview
Ollie Henderson – Romance Was Born Resort 2018
What’s been your favourite show from this year?
My favourite show has definitely been Romance Was Born. I’ve been working with them almost since they started themselves and it’s just such a pleasure to work with the team. Anna and Luke are always brilliant and this year with their collaboration with Del Katherine Barton made it so special. I’m actually a big fan of her work as well. She painted my body for the catwalk this year so I had a fantastic afternoon hanging out with one of my idols and then being about to wear that on the catwalk was something really special for me.
How do you survive fashion week?
Survival in Fashion Week for me is all about finding you friends. One of my best friends is over from England doing the shows this year and it’s been such a pleasure who find her backstage and find the laughs between the shows.
Any weird and wonderful encounters?
I think perhaps the strangest moment during Fashion Week was having my body painted and being naked on the catwalk. It’s definitely not something I feel shy about but there is nothing that can really prepare you in being take in front of a room full of people.

Chic model Bridget Hollitt talks over some her favourite moments from fashion week, including her favourite show Sass and Bide.
Bridget Hollitt – Sass and Bide Resort 2018
The shows you did this year?
Not in this order, I did McGraw, Bec and Bridge, Sass and Bide, Cmeo Collective, Kitx, Alice McCall and Hanson and Gretel which was beautiful.
What’s the best look you’ve worn?
I’ve had really amazing looks this year! My favourite look would have, have to have been Bec and Bridge. I was wearing this cut little polka dot shift dress.
What’s been your favourite show this year?
My favourite show this year was probably the Sass and Bide show. We had a really big set. It was really gorgeous. The dresses were amazing, there were like 40 girls so it was really fun to be in such a big group. It was incredible.
