How was this season for you?
This season was amazing for me. It was so nice to work with designers I haven’t seen in years.
You took a break for a moment, what did you do during that time?
Yes I did, I moved to London for a few years and did absolutely nothing. It was great!!!
What made you want to return to fashion?
To be honest, I got bored and missed it.
What was your initial success like – you skyrocketed to the top when you first came on the scene, but what was the experience like for you?
I do think I was too young to really appreciate what was going on around me but I’m very thankful to the people around me.
How does this renewed success feel?
I’m just really happy to still be working with amazing people every day
What are some things you’d like to do that you haven’t just yet -career wise or not.
Buy a house near the beach and live in it.
How do you find balance these days?
I don’t bring my work home and a healthy home life.
Tell us one thing about yourself people might find surprising.
I make really good guacamole…Or so I’ve been told!

Interview with Catherine McNeil for Vogue Daily

Age: 23 | Hometown: Brisbane, Australia
How do you say hello where you are from? “G’ day.” 
What is your coffee order? Double espresso. 
What are the three items you always keep in your purse? My phone, candy, and money. 
How were you discovered? I won the Girlfriend magazine competition in Australia when I was thirteen.

Most memorable modeling moment: There have been a few over the years, but I’d have to say that the Life Ball in Vienna was one of them. I went as Mario Testino’s date and had an amazing time.

Most embarrassing modeling moment: Sometimes you’re asked to do things that make you feel pretty stupid, and it’s quite embarrassing. But at the end of the day, you just have to have  a little fun with it.

Favorite model of all time: There are so many talented ladies it’s hard to pick just one . . . Kate Moss is definitely one of them.

If you weren’t modeling, what would be your dream job? To be honest, I don’t know, but it would have nothing to do with fashion.
Describe your style in five words: Black, boyish, rock, shabby, and sometimes chic.Favorite designer: I love them all.

If you could trade closets with someone else, whose would you choose? Karmen Pedaru.

What new addition to your wardrobe are you currently craving this season? A new Chanel bag.

What is the next thing you are going to purchase? Let’s hope it’s that Chanel bag.

Beauty item you cannot live without: Dr. Hauschka’s skin care products.

What nail polish color are you wearing right now? I never wear nail polish.

Who was the last person to cut your hair? Aki.

How do you stay in model shape? Any  tricks of the trade? I work out five days a week, and I also eat healthy.

What is the first website or app you go to in the morning? Instagram.

What songs are on repeat on your iPod right now? I listen to French radio.

What movie or TV show is at the top of your Netflix queue? Bob’s Burgers.

What’s on your Kindle / Nook / iBook shelf right now? The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.

One place you always visit while in New York: I live in New York, but I always like to go to the dog park with my pups. Favorite destination you have traveled to so far:San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.

Where would you like to go on your next vacation? Australia! I miss my family.
What quality is most attractive in a boyfriend/girlfriend? The ability to make you laugh even with when you feel at your worst. 

What quality do you most appreciate in a friend? That they are there for you through thick and thin. Name one natural talent you wish you had: Drawing/painting.

Subject you could wax poetic about/something that fascinates you: The human mind. 

What is the best advice (professional or personal) you’ve ever been given? Stop feeling sorry for yourself. (That came from my grandmother.) 

What are your words to live by? Tomorrow is a new day.

 Right now: I am at home in Brisbane 
 Start in modelling: I was at a party with my friend who was a model and was scouted. 
 Best job: Hmmm it’s so hard to choose one favourite! I will say two. Number one is when I flew to china to shoot for Hercules magazine. It was a great shoot and I got to see the great wall. Second was recently when I flew to Tokyo for a Louis Vuitton show. I had a great time with my mates, Louis Vuitton looked after us and Tokyo is cool cool cool.
Do your mates pay you out: Of course! But we all know they are just jealous 😉
Most awkward moment on a job: Shooting in a busy Chinese restaurant with what seemed like half of china watching from outside on the street. 
 Your mum collects your photos: Haha she does! There a few newspaper cut outs in her cupboard.
If you weren’t modelling: I think I would be playing soccer and running my t shirt company Oxë clothing. 
Coolest photographer you have worked with: Txema Yeste 
The latest edition to your wardrobe: A bunch of old shirts I cut the sleeves off.

Most treasured item in your wardrobe: I have a denim jacket I’ve worn from the beginning of my modelling adventures and my Oxë sweater
